Hold Calm in the palm of your hand with the metal side facing down.
The device turns on with a long press of the side button and automatically starts in slow-pulse mode.
You can press the button once more to switch to fast-pulse mode and adjust intensity using the “+” or “–” buttons.
Each session lasts 20 minutes and shuts off automatically.
Start on the lowest level and only turn it up if you want to. Keep it dry. Don't use it on broken or irritated skin. Do not use if pregnant, or if the person using it has a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, a heart condition or epilepsy. Stop use if anything feels uncomfortable. Check the instructions for your specific device.
The first time: start on the lowest level. The pulse is easy to feel for the first minute, then it settles into the background.
The first week: use it at the same moments each day, like your commute or the start of your wind-down, so it becomes a habit.
After that: many people keep it in a bag or by the bed and reach for it whenever they need a moment of calm. Individual experiences vary.
